When teacher Indu (Kamini Kadam) marries engineer Ravi Shankar Chaube (Rajendra Kumar) after years of living with her unemployed, widower father, Moolchand Chabbe (Radhakrishan), it's a readjustment -- especially when Moolchand begins gambling after Indu quits working and has a child.
