Twelve-year-old Zhenya is withdrawn and unsociable, even though he grows up in a prosperous family where he is showered with attention and bought expensive toys. He loves to tinker. But no one shares his hobby, and he has no friends. A chance encounter with an elderly man changes Zhenya's life.
