Upon his release from prison, Ahmed tries to get his life back on track as best he can. He reunites with his cellmate, Lhoussine, with whom he runs a modest plant nursery on the outskirts of the city. However, his main goal remains finding his missing wife, Atika. He befriends Halima, who has been living alone in seclusion since the accidental death of her husband.
