The film is set in the 1940s, about a ship's sailor, Othman, who is determined to change his family's fate by embarking on a voyage around the world. Before setting sail, he promises to return with wealth for his wife Che Thom and his son Omar. With great patience, his wife accepts his departure and faithfully waits for her husband's return for 61 years.
