Celia is a dermatologist who has a bad relationship with her daughter and with whom she constantly tries to reconcile, without success. One night, when going shopping at the neighborhood supermarket, Celia meets Lucy, an eccentric young woman who proposes a very strange role-play game: pretending that they are mother and daughter.
