The story of three disobedient siblings obsessed with seeking forgiveness from their mother who has passed away. Usop, who once sinned, now tries to become a better person but is tested by discord as his family commits sins similar to his past. This heavy trial nearly breaks Usop, causing him to rage and burn the shabby hut where he prays out of anger at God. This incident almost costs the life of his wife, Som, and makes Usop realize that he must continue to strive to reunite his family and help his children return to the right path.
