Julie unexpectedly travels to the other side of the world to visit her father Karl, in order to settle their past once and for all. She also wants to find out why he suddenly contacted her out of the blue, asking to borrow a large sum of money. Her journey takes her to the Indonesian island of Bali, where she not only meets her father, but also, thanks to him, becomes part of an expedition in search of a legendary treasure that is said to be lost forever.
