Munawaroh, a village midwife, secretly cares for Mira, a former prostitute shunned by the community. As Mira’s pregnancy progresses, she becomes increasingly anxious about her safety. One evening, Mira collapses at a women-only village gathering, where Munawaroh pretends not to know her to protect her standing among the conservative women.
