Yao's boyfriend (29) is murdered while she's delivering an order for her Chinese restaurant. Now alone, she has to run the restaurant while dealing with the indifference of the police, the municipality, the entire city, and the deceased's parents, who want to take over the business. While coping with grief and the mystery surrounding the crime, Yao also experiences a newfound freedom that leads her to seek a less solitary and more exciting life, trying to become increasingly involved with this new world she still has to discover.
