Bal, a teenager who runs away from family conflict, begins a new life at a chalet on the East Coast. He meets several individuals who are also facing their own conflicts and dreams. His presence eventually helps reconcile the relationship between Maria and her adopted daughter, Imani, so that Imani's dream receives approval.
