In this canceled 1970s film, Nathalie Grantstein is forced to immigrate to the United States to escape the attacks on her village. In doing so, she risks being found by her abusive husband, who had left several years earlier to join the New York mafia during Prohibition. At the last moment, she devises a clever scheme to escape him for good, even if it means going against all of her religious beliefs.
