To protect themselves from a mysterious virus that turns women into men, a family retreats to an alpine chalet. Their desire to preserve the female sex within the family leads them down a path of radicalization. The descent into inhumanity unfolds almost imperceptibly, and patterns of behavior long thought to be outgrown resurface. Better able to cope with protogyny, the children offer a small glimmer of hope.
