Synopsis
"Where some see stigma, others uncover beauty."
In contrast to the narratives propagated by television, radio, and newspapers, The Invisible Beauty reveals what stigmas fail to see: the aesthetic and symbolic power that exists in Salvador’s Subúrbio Ferroviário. The short documentary follows the work and perspectives of five visual artists who, through their art, challenge narratives of marginalization and confront the sensationalism that often defines their realities. Interweaving personal journeys with artistic creation, the film sheds light on their struggle for appreciation, recognition, and visibility, while celebrating the creative power of the periphery.
