Synopsis
Indonesia had their so-called golden age of cinema during Soeharto's regime (1966-1998). This was marked by the increasing number of films being made, prominence of key film industry people, and censorship. Because of this, Soeharto is aware of the power of cinema. This documentary attempts to map out how the Indonesian cinematic language progresses despite the many endeavors to suppress it, and how it begins at the New Order capital of cinema, Jakarta.
