In ancient Chang'an, merchant Yin Xinyue, dancer Lin Yange, and official's wife Su Yi form an unlikely friendship while facing hardships of their own. Determined to change their fortunes, they establish the city's first clinic dedicated to women's health. Together, the three women challenge social conventions to overcome class barriers, and the lives they choose for themselves.
